Half a drink on the floor
I forget what I pressed play for

Tiny screens
Big claims
Highlights
Hot takes
Hot flames
Every clip feels the same
But I keep feeding it my brain

I keep watching stuff
Like it’s ever enough
One more scene
One more fight
One more end-of-the-world
I keep watching stuff
Till the credits pile up
I’m awake
I’m alone
And the night just whirls

Plastic bag in the tree
News feed yelling at me
Cooking vids I’ll never try
Wedding posts
“we just got by”

Cat falls
Crowd roars
Unboxing ten thousand chores
Skip ad
Skip sleep
Hit play on another week

I keep watching stuff
Like it’s ever enough
One more scene
One more fight
One more end-of-the-world
I keep watching stuff
Till the credits pile up
I’m awake
I’m alone
And the night just whirls

How many lives
Can I borrow tonight?
How many strangers
Gonna live mine right?
Fast cuts
Bright flash (hey!)
I’m gone in the static splash
